Contemplative Mood
Life is definitely less dramatic when you are an introvert.
There aren't dramatic showdowns when friendships are torn apart, less dramatic pair-ups, and even lesser dramatic situations when you try to confide to a friend.
I guess drama-rama people always know how to really interact with other people. They know how to manoveur pass the stage of meer His and How Are Yous. And into a stage where the relationship has become deeper. Then words of love, hate, tease, laughter and humour will automatically spill out of their lips, and there wouldn't be awkward silences between they and their friends. That - will cause all the drama.
And hey, I don't mean the drama you see on Channel 8. Not the swordplays and bombastic fights. I mean real-life drama. Like how situations will form between you and another person. Fights, squabbles, hugs, tears, laughter, and all the stuff like that. Normal feelings that normal out-of-the-telly people would feel.
Like when you sit down with someone and talk things out over a dark, night sky. There is a stillness in the air, that makes the moment absolutely precious. It's not anyone who is willing to spare their time to lay still and enjoy it with you. So there's that bond - that bond of gratitude. Content that, out of the 1001 things you could've done that night, both of you had chosen to spend it together. Instead of another 1000 things.
How amazing are the emotions of humankind. =D
Waking Ashland - Shades Of Grey
I and I am to blame,
I sit here in shame.
I threw you away again.
And I, I send you my best.
I try to lay this to rest,
When you were my everything.
Shades of Grey,
And please fade away.
And oh what if I sit in vain.
Hey, and I'll look away,
Pretend I'm okay.
I'm back on the road again.
And please, could it be true,
That I still love you,
And my loves unworthy.
Shades of Grey,
And please fade away.A
nd oh what if I sit in vain.
Are you listening to my words?
And I saw your smile pass me by,
And landed far from me.
And what does that mean?
Shades of Grey,
And please fade away.
Oh what if I sit in vain.
I and I ran away,
For I was afraid.
Afraid you'd be everything.
Please Fade Away
Watched X Men 3 last saturday. SO COOL MAN! Ok I won't be a nutty worm and spoil the movie for all of you (Though I gladly would tell you everything.. ahaha =P). Just know that it is a MUST-Watch.
You will expect Storm (Halle Berry) to spin alot. And yes. Some key mutants will die in the movie. There's no Nightcrawler (the catholic blue-skinned guy) and no Gambit. Why? Maybe because they decided they won't fit inside the plot anyway. If Nightcrawler came in, it would be something like this.
Storm: Why are you here? I thought you weren't an X Men?
Nightcrawler: I'd like to help.
Storm: Do you know we face a great danger called a "Cure" for mutants?
Nightcrawler: a what?
Storm: It's some devastating device that annihilate mutants.
Nightcrawler: *falls down to his knees and prays* *ignores Storm*
Yeah. It's weird right? He would chop up the whole adrenaline the movie is trying to produce. Well, nonetheless I'd miss him. He has created great entertainment to the whole X Men trilogy. Actually I miss Deathstrike too, cause she had super cool claws. But all that doesn't really matter la, as long as X3 is a good movie. Which in this case it was actually Excellent.
X Men 3 is the final production of the mutant trilogy. Actually, there are suddenly so many movie trilogies these recent years. I think directors have a thing for the number '3'. It isn't as little as 2, and it's not as much as 4. So yeah, 3 is a great number. =D haha, I'm crapping again.
Well anyway, today I saw a MONKEY in Potong Pasir. No I don't mean your average hooligans behaving like untamed primates. I mean the real deal. A life size monkey. The same ones you see carousing around Bukit Timah nature reserve, waiting in the shadows to steal your picnic food.
That's Mr Primate over there!
Yeah, so it was pretty amazing.. haha. I've lived in PP for 16 years over and this is a first.
Hiatusification
I think I will have to sleep very late tonight. Maybe about 4 am. Assignments are crazily difficult at some points of time. +_+
X men 3 anyone? I can't believe not a single person is eccentric that this feature film is finally out. Oh well, I am. For one. =D
Training is tough this week man, we got chided by Joel cause we weren't performing up to speed. "Give me your 110% guys! Not any lesser!" and he goes on to tell us how he skipped his class so that he could come down and train us, but he was disappointed to find everyone so slack. Thanks Joel. For the wake up call.
I'm overspending again. Mainly on brushes and stationary. Wah lau. At this rate ah, won't have enough money to pay Jen and Gab this saturday. Haha. Burst.
What I've learnt today? Cherish every moment. Okay, I know it sounds extremely corny (you've probably heard this a million times on kids central), but it's true. You never know when something unexpected happens, and you begin to disappoint yourself for not having done better when you had the chance. I've heard alot this past week of people not cherishing other people in their lives. And it makes you think why. It's like a disease. A disease we've contacted through the genes of each heirachy-based generation, down since the beginnning of Adam and Eve.
"We broke up,"
"I quarrelled with my mum,"
"He's so irritating,"
"Slacker,"
Just some of the phrases I've heard recently. There's always a place for forgiveness. Even when somebody had really screwed up your life hard, there's always a point in time you gotta let it all go. LET. It. Go. I know it's easier said than done. But only after you've really let it go, you find your wings unstrandled, and up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.. wala! You'll be soaring again.
I need a hiatus!
Here are some good CDs to check out. =)

Yes? No? Maybe.
There are more and more places smelling like the insides of a Singapore Airline Airplane.
I know this sounds weird, but the emergency waiting of Tan Tock Seng hospital (don't ask why I went there), has the smell of an airplane carriage. Even citylink's toilets, stores, and MPH also smells of it. The odd fragrance is everywhere. It reeks of the smell of the airplane, a heavily sweet - yet distinctively chemical intoned - aroma.
Maybe I'm desperate to leave the country.
To be honest, I find that airplane rides are as pleasant as the destination country itself. It's that sense of foreboding you get when you sit in a plane, knowing you are miles high in the sky, very soon going to experience a total different culture, while still in the midst of getting served with the utmost friendliness. Or it could plainly be that I'm closer to heaven. And it just uplifts my mood; quite literally. Life in the sky is awesome!
Well anyway, walking alone in Citylink really tweaks up the notches of sensitivity. I was extremely sensitive to that airplane smell that was diffusing through the airholes of the tunnel's foundations. Somehow, it struck a forgotten vault of many previous airplane experiences. And unknowingly too. I remembered how escalated when I first got onto a plane - to Hong Kong. I still remember how my mouth hurt from all that gleaming.
There are bound to be things, that spark our nostalgia. Be it a person who looks starkingly like an ex-lover, or just an intricate rosary your great grandma left you. Everything connects to everything else. And that's what makes the world so webbed my dear. So congested with connected lines that we can find ourselves connected to millions and millions of other things - trees, plants, genes, people, and memories.
There is absolutely no way you can say the world is exactly the same, when you don't exist.
Conversations With The Centrals
Poly life is extremely tiring man.
I hardly get to see my family members on weekdays now. It's like during the holidays, you always get to see them wandering around the house, and my brother would be doing stupid and cranky things, and I'd be scolding him. Now, no time to scold man. Everytime I reach home, he'd already be in bed. The lights are all off, and I'm still awake discussing work online/ painting in the middle of the dead night. =]
We have loads of assignments coming up. Plus training, plus worship ministry = alot alot alot of stress!
But I must say, I am absolutely satisfied with the life I have now. =D =D =D
At training, even though we dunno each other, at least some of us are beginning to have a thick bond. We would wrestle each other in the pool and stuff after training. Super super shiok. But I'm always the one who gets wrestled la.. ahaha.
At worship ministry, at least I'm getting to know more about everyone. Everytime I go, there are bound to be people I dunno, and summore I won't know what to say la. It's warming up. At least. Ahahaaaa...
In class, we have the most super duper cool and nice people anyone can ever have! Everyone is fantastic and contributes in their different ways. We're like one big jigsaw puzzle that all fits in together at the end of the day man.. ahaha. Sounds so gay right? But it's true lor... ahaha.. There are amazing girls and guys in class. You guys all rock all the way! =D
Retro Day
Uniform Day (haha.. yea I know we're weird.)
So when I get back home, I'd heave a sigh and whine about how tired I am. How I oversleep on the bus cause I'm too shacked just now, but before you drop dead on the bed - There is this deep deep satisfaction. Like you've spent your day exhausted, but it's all been spent right.
Thank GOD I'm here!
Vesak Day Frenzy

Mings, Michelle and I - our vesak day goofings =]
Btw, great talk with Cheryl that night. =D
Trusting The Intangible
Watched a sermon dvd from Hillsong's encounter fest 2005 last night with the worship ministry. At Guan Wen's place. I must say his house is HUGE la.. much bigger than Hooper's twin-penthouses. Walking inside is like walking into the lobby of an Indonesian hotel. It's a stunning place.
I really got to know alot more about some people from the worship ministry. Their backgrounds, their history, and their experiences. There's alot you can't tell from a person, until you really try and understand him/her. You can't make friends and the next day Wham! you know everything about them, down to the size of their very last toe. Things take time. And I must admit I don't know anyone of them well la.. haha. There are many, many different personalities just in our ministry. This difference, is something I've yet to come to know.
The sermon was good, the pastor was a very engaging person. Haha. Does anyone know his name? Cause I didn't catch that bit. Jesselene, Lisa and I were late when the DVD was played... (looong story). Lol...
Chris asked a really good question.
How much do you trust God?
Haha, that might sound simple. But the real answer is most of the time unexplainable. Trust can be anything you know. It's hard to say you're fully commited in sacrificing your life to someone else. Someone whose of higher accord than you. To some extent, we always want to take hold of our own lives, dreams, and destinys. So how much do I trust God with?
I seriously don't know myself. I guess it's those kind of questions where you have different answers at different points in your life. I don't think I can say I can fully let go of everything I'm trying to control. Right at this instance.
Wow, finally an emo post. Kinda miss this kind of blogposts.
Heheh
