Gotta blog about Sonicfest before I forget everything...
Hmmm, where did this long day start? Ah, when I met Ben at PP Station and we walked all the way to Macpherson to take 65/64 to Dhoby Ghaut. Man, I could've taken NEL... but somehow I'm good at making wrong choices.. lol. Partially cause my Dad told me to. Show's my filial piety huh? Yeah yeah, I know I'm crapping.
Reached Fort Canning Park after some "is it here? is it there?"s, and met up with Aunty Wai Cheng (hope it's correctly spelt) and the other group members. Man, Ben and I were the only two guys in the group. So there was Aunty Irene, Esther, Cheryl and Liane. All from Church Of Our Savior.
We all went for lunch at Park Mall cause our shift starts at 1 and we got the time... I didn't know you could actually buy a flat in Park Mall and live in there until Aunty Wai Cheng mentioned it. I'm damn blur, I know... kept giving the stunned face. We ate at Han's.. haha, another first timer.. I'm damn noob in Singapore la... everything's like new to me. Ben bought minute-maid at Watson's and they gave him free Darlie toothpaste. Wth? I'm wondering what's with the desperate attempt from Darlie. lol.
Esther is a swimmer, she's dark and tan and chubby... really cute practical girl. Especially her voice, like innocent.. and she's not acting. I know it. She trains like almost everyday.. can you imagine?? I LOST TO A GIRL!!! WTH! Lol I'm kidding, God's grace. No lah, Esther's fine... loves Sonicflood.
Liane is the shortest girl... I was telling Ben I gotta get Zinc tablets... she came in and
"Why do you have to get Zinc tablets?"
"Cause it's s'posed to make you grow taller,"
"Oh! Then I gotta get Zinc tablets too,"
Haha... she's funny, cause the way she said it was like *long pause* then suddenly blurts she needs 'em too. She's in Track and Field... so she's frigging good and dodging people blocking her.. I commented on that while we got drinks.
And best of all she laughs at lame jokes... cause ushering can be kinda sian so we all started amusing ourselves. Ben was the best... the most lame jokes came from him.. ahh he just wanted to lighten up the scene. So she kept laughing at our lameness... And we talked about school, scandals, then gays/lesbians in school... she's from Cedar.. loads of spicy details >;] and I seriously admitted I might gay-bash anyone who is.
In the end she became lame herself cause our lameness was infectious: Ben -> Me -> Liane. She started taking these empty plastic santa shoes in Cold Storage during dinner and played around with it to amuse everyone. Haha... see how miraculous guys; lameness works!!! Wooohoo!! I bet you're feeling lame now... embrace that vibe....
Cheryl was the oldest la... she's sec 4.. and I think she's kinda mixed-blood (Dutch! Dutch!). So she was pretty attractive, and she's a keyboardist at COOS. How cool is that? She's just smiles at our lameness, and she's quirky - we went for dinner and had to walk down these steps and she kept telling us
"WAIT! I need to take a picture of you guys walking down the steps!"
"You're walking too fast!"
Liane says she pities her future boyfriend. Lol. I think she's kinda okay... but she did her eccentric thing again. We saw this girl taking a picture of her friend from the otherside of the road and she said she should do that. So we kinda convinced her not to, she decided to take the word 'CREW' behind Liane's shirt... but cause Liane had a distracting ponytail and all, she took mine. Can you imagine? lol..
That afternoon the girls did some T-Shirt painting thing. And Cheryl was fretting, asked me to draw this dead flower nearby. Then she painted it into a pink blob and she was whining and screaming and going nuts... lol. Eccentric girl... she's cute when she does that though.
Then at dinner (without Ben cause he didn't wanna go PS with us), we sorta started talking about my weak bladder and I told them how I always get a full bladder before any movie ends in the theatre. Told em about Spiderman 2... where I had to ask some buddy to hold my bag while I dash cause it was those hit-me-and-my-bladder-bursts kinda situation.
I must say I was probably the most slack crew member ever. Cause I was one of the few who stood infront when Sonicflood performed. They were damn good lah... cause we all were jumping and jumping as they sang and raised our hands and stuff. I personally hadn't come across this kind of worship so it felt good to praise God with other people who were as 'on'. Engulfing in his love kinda stuff. And I saw Mal and Luke... heh..
And to prove I'm damn slack, Esther and I were the only two super kiasu to go line up for Sonicflood's autograph even before they finished performing. And yet again, I think I was the only crew member in the queue. It's kinda diu lian haha. But that's me; hear something new and its good and it's ALLL THEE WAYYY.
And at the end of the festival, Cheryl and I walked back to Dhoby Ghaut MRT. We talked about her minstry, her church and all. I sorta asked her what she thought about City Harvest, and she changed my point of view about them. She said she was like me, thought they had some weird practices and didn't like them - But then she thought and thought over, and her Dad says they were actually a good church, they were just strict to their teens (bible study and all)... so I guess what's the point scrutinising them?
Ahhh... what a way to end the day.. a walk with a beautiful gal...
Err... by that I meant she's beautiful inside... I dont' poach every girl la. Right now it's still her in this loser's heart.
