Bygones Remain Disketted
I just threw away 80% of stuff from these pass 4 years (and even some before). Haha, sad to see all those worksheets the different teachers gave these in my secondary school life, go into a red plastic bags, ready for recycling. I guess I’m kinda a sentimental person, cause there were respective stuff I wanted to keep – like the write-up Darrell and I did (cause he went to Australia for a tulssy 3 years stay), some compositions (I like reading my own compos, unusually) and loads of small bits and pieces of homework, other people’s work (appeared mysteriously in my work bin), and many notebooks. When I was younger I was a freaking notebook person. I had 5 sets of notebooks filled with homework, thoughts, self-composed songs, jokes, lyrics, and a few pieces of paper of scribbled ‘chat’. It’s actually just passing pieces of paper around the class and writing what you wanna say. Like a chatroom on paper. Cool huh, I know, I invented it. Show’s deprivation in extends. Haha.
Many of them had Hanif and Tim’s handwritten thoughts. I was going through all the notebooks (including those chatlogs) and found it funny how people have grown. How we all have matured. Those notebooks had songs about Mdm Parames and Dora, I remember those from the resounding times in 2B, when Tim was nuts, and when I was crazy about center-parting hair. The 3 of us were called gays by so many peeps! Waha, experiences galore.
I remember how I used to bully Ray. Waha, now look how the tables have been turned. Well I can go on about all this crap. But it’s scary sometimes, to realize you’ve already past a stage in your life, and you will probably never see half of the people you hanged out with in school ever again. Well, that’s unless by some chance they call you back 30 years down the road for a reunion dinner, like in my Mom’s case.
There’s a lot of things I still wanna do, I still wanna worship God, do volunteery stuff, join the worship team at church, do windsurfing, do kayaking, teach, design, be a mentor, be a counselor, form a band like relient k’s, organize get-togethers, make loads of artworks, learn French. There’s just too much, and maybe these short span of four years, just don’t have the ability to let me do all that, that’s why we’re all leaving for somewhere that can.
Speaking of which, now, I have to go watch Iven’s Ayumi concert DVD, and then learn some French gammar. Btw, Chronicles of Narnia is a classic. C.S Lewis – he must have gotten a bigger brain than us all – woah.
